OGGEV’s headquarters are located in Jinja District, Uganda, a region renowned for its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and economic significance. Positioned within the Busoga Sub-region, Jinja is famously known as the source of the Nile River, attracting visitors from around the world. The district is characterized by lush landscapes, fertile agricultural land, and vibrant fishing communities that depend on the lake and river ecosystems for their livelihoods.
Our projects extend beyond Jinja to various rural and peri-urban areas across Uganda, focusing on communities facing critical challenges such as deforestation, poverty, and limited access to essential resources like clean energy and safe drinking water. These challenges are particularly prevalent in regions where rapid population growth, unsustainable land use practices, and economic hardships have intensified environmental degradation and hindered development.
To maximize impact, OGGEV collaborates closely with local stakeholders, including community leaders, government agencies, and development partners, ensuring that our initiatives are not only sustainable but also tailored to address the specific needs of each community.
